Build 1.7.43 Release Notes
Changes:

Proving Grounds: Roster now auto-sorts on: Base Class, Advanced Class, Rank, Name
Disconnecting or shutting down the client now always surrenders your current battle
Battle: Slag and Burn no longer does Armor Break, but does an increased constant amount of armor damage:

Rank 1: Target unit takes 1 arm / 1 str
Rank 2: Target unit takes 2 arm / 1 str
Rank 3: Target unit takes 3 arm / 1 str

Battle: Slag and Burn coals no longer trigger Return the Favor
Battle: Return the Favor now damages the attacker even when the Shieldbanger is killed
Battle: Bring the Pain is used even when the Shieldbanger is killed (see above)
Proving Grounds: All Shieldbangers' Willpower min/max increased by 1
Upgraded game to Adobe AIR SDK compiler ASC 2.0 and Adobe AIR 3.6
Improved game performance and optimization in all areas
Chat: chat is much more responsive
Battle: battle turns change more quickly and other battle actions are more responsive
Proving Grounds: 'Power' caption is added above the power display
Great Hall: ditto above
Marketplace: 1500 Renown now on sale!
Marketplace: All Shieldbanger Variations now on sale!

Bug Fixes:

Chat: Fix for missing chat box
Chat: Chat visibility settings now saved and restored properly
Battle: Rain of Arrows animations now play on all 3 Skystriker variations
Battle: Slag & Burn damage numbers now place the blue armor number on the left, red strength number on the right
Battle: Rain of Arrows no longer allows the victim to perform attacks and other actions
Battle: Fixed divergences caused by Rain of Arrows, Return the Favor, and Battering Ram
Battle: Rain of Arrows triggers Return the Favor responses synchronized with the arrow hits
Battle: Renown Banner now sorts properly on the battlefield when killing a unit
Battle Hud: Initiative portraits now show the correct color variation for units
Server performance and stability improvements
Tourney: Tourney now ends at 2300 GMT Sunday instead of Monday
Great Hall: Tourney banner text no longer bumps around when you click on it
Fonts: Fixed missing fonts on Strand building names, Battle Fly Text, and Battle Resolution screen

Known Issues:

Elo Achievements don't show up until the battle _after_ you trigger them.
Friends show as offline when they should be online
Restarting TBS:F client sometimes fixes the issue

Client Version Too Old
Restart Steam to fix the issue

General Notes:

The game always writes log files into $HOME/tbs_logs/. You can access this or email it to us for bug reporting



KNOWN WINDOWS ISSUES

Crash on startup

Reinstall the game through Steam
Reinstall the game to a different folder if the above does not work

Steam Overlay unavailable
Terrible performance in fullscreen

These are both fixed with the following steps:

Right-click the following
Choose "Settings..."
Ensure that "Enable hardware acceleration" is clicked
NOTE: This does not work with the Chrome browser

KNOWN MAC OS X ISSUES


The Steam Overlay functions intermittently on Mac OS X
If you load the game without the Overlay, simply restart the game and it usually appears
Crash on startup on Mac OS X
Remove the folder "/Library/Frameworks/Adobe AIR.framework". If you need to reinstall Adobe AIR, visit this link: http://get.adobe.com/air/

Love the update!! I think I might have proposed the +1stat for SB, but find it a bit too radical. Great thing that you did it :-)

Just one quick thing, Return the Favor upon death and the ability in general seem to work intermittently :-) As always~ thanks and please keep up the good work :-) Can't wait for the single player :-)

The Game won't update and I cannot log-in 'cause it says the server is a later version.

Oh~ the mighty Stoic! How great is thy power! The update is great for balancing, yet Bring the Pain & Return the Favor did not work for my Shieldmaster :-( It might have cost a game for me in the tournament :-/ Can you please look into it when you have the chance to :-D

This is weird. You don't return any favors when you're dead.

Shieldbangers are honorable folks. That's why returning that favor is the last thing they do :P

And yeah, RtF did trigger with my SM, but not my SRM. Seems weird!

Exactly! If a shield banger owes you five dollars. He will turn it into a paper airplane and throw it at you as he collapses on the ground.

Hi guys, if you happen to encounter RtF bugging out in a match, please open the game's console, ctrl shift ~, and then type rtf_debug. Afterwhich send the log to community@stoicstudio.com

This will facilitate tracking down and nailing the bug sooner.

Stoic did know the bug was there but couldn't reproduce it, so they released the build first and figured to let the community help troubleshoot it.

Ok apparently, John has just said that you're supposed to run the debugger prior to the bug occuring. So you may need to enter the command at the start of a play session. Play as you like, and if you encounter the bug, stop playing and send the log.

My mistake sorry.
