Added SUBTITLES. Click the button with the Close Captioning 'CC' logo on the Options page.
Added missing Kickstarter backer names to credits
Backer Crests that missed the initial deadline have been incorporated into the game.
Challenge Achievement can now be gained, despite Iver losing a battle to Bellower
Fix issue where ranked up units are unable to use their rank 2 & 3 abilites after loading from a save game
Improved video playback issues for some users
Numpad keys are now supported for Conversation option (1,2,3,...) and continue (SPACE, ENTER) hotkeys.
Numpad keys are now supported for combat hotkeys (1,2,3,4)
Fixed achievement names of Eagle Eye and Siege Archer
Dredge Slag Slinger Backoff can now trigger at most once per turn. This addresses problems when Rook's Mark Prey ability is used on a Dredge Slag Slinger when multiple allies can hit it.
Slingers that get hit while running away will now resume running away after their damage reaction animation completes
Silver Arrow in Bellower fight now longer requires Willpower to use
Travel HUD no longer permanently disappears after Einartoft due to certain choices
More supplies and renown increased throughout Chapter 6
Nid no longer gains the incorrect number of points to spend on rank up
Ekkill no longer appears incorrectly in certain events if he is left behind
Iver is no longer required in the party after Einartoft when making certain choices.
Fixed an error where Fasolt would stay with the party after Einartoft in certain branches.
Fix issue with using left/right arrow buttons in Heroes unit details page when no units are in the party


Build Number: 2.1.65

The build number is displayed in the titlebar of the game window, and at the beginning of your log files.

Log file location:


Windows: %HOMEPATH%\AppData\Roaming\TheBannerSaga\Local Store\logs\

Open Windows Explorer
Paste the path into the location bar textbox and hit Enter

Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/TheBannerSaga/Local Store/logs/
Open Finder
Hit Command-Shift-G to open the “Go to the folder:” popup dialog
Paste the path into the textbox and hit Enter

I am still unable to obtain the Challenge achievement, despite starting a new game from scratch after the patch. Did not lose any fights in my playthrough apart from the unwinnable Iver vs. Bellower one.

This is still bugged, as witnessed here:

(Alette is at 12STR/0WP, while Bello is at 8ARM. Ablity can't be used, neither by keyboard-shortcut).

I am e-mailing you the game-logs, John.

EDIT -- I also attached the logs concerning the UI-bug where the Silver-Arrow ability can only be activated by the keyboard.

Hey guys,

Very cool game, visuals are 10/10 (except the shield banging animation is poorly acted).

also:
- When upgrading heroes; if you click promote, but decide not to, you can't go back easily- you gotta exit the hero tent.
- When upgrading heroes; when scrolling though heroes, to see if they can be promoted, you will only scroll through battle party heroes, neglecting all other available heroes.
- When upgrading heroes; when allocating skill points, you should be able to hover over a particular skill button to get the info on what it does.

It worked for me. Have you played on Hard or haven't you lowered difficulty?

I've gotten every other achievement bar master tactician so why on earth would I play on normal or easy? (This is like my 8th play through). I've already beaten the game on hard with just the one loss. I expected when I completed the last playthrough to get that achievement. It didn't happen. That is why I am here reporting that there is a problem. I specifically undertook the play through because of the fix.

Kadayi, have your restarted from scratch (i.e. by "Restart Game" option, from opening menu) or did you load a previous save? I think that pre-patch saves are still bugged.

Hmmm, GDC runs until the end of the week. So, what are Stoic doing there, presenting the game (booth), giving a talk? Anybody covering it?

Covering it? There's coverage from a bunch of web publications (Gamasutra, Kotaku, RPS).

As for our side? Well probably post/after coverage. They're probably exhibiting or at least checking around. Industry events like that, well it's just as much about mingling and taking stuff in (inspiration/connections/ideas) as it is showing off your game.

According to this dev-post (http://stoicstudio.com/forum/showthread.php?3226-German-Version-in-March&p=29282&viewfull=1#post29282), we should be expecting the patch (with the translations being the main added "feature") to show up by mid-May, i.e. in a month from now.

If you have the Steam version of the game, I am sure if will automatically download & install. Not sure how it works with the GoG (DRM-free) version...

I just completed the game on hard, every single battle won on hard (sooo many reloads when the battles turned to the bad side..):

No Challenge achievement
No Hard Difficulty achievement

I am slightly pissed about this, since the boss mechanic is honestly one of the laziest 'OP' mechanics I have ever seen implemented for a boss, so the countless retries to win this battle have not been fun.

Edit for another bug: I did do the find a safe place for my caravan task in Boersgard, abandoned houses, fighters to watch em. I still had one my clansmen show up on day 4 to tell me all is lost and the caravan scattered. I am pretty sure this is connected to me reloading from inside a battle when the battle went bad.
