Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me.
I bought The Banner Saga from GOG.com after seeing it had 'Full Controller Support" on the Steam store, however when I load the game I can not see how to enable my Xbox 360 Wireless controller anywhere.
Is this due to the version released through GOG.com not being the same as the one release through the Steam store?
How do I add/enable this capability in the version I bought?

Thanks in advance!

Hello.

I am sure if the latest patch applied for the GoG version of the game... What is the version-number that appears on the game-window? For Steam it is 2.17.06. Also, when you hit the ESC menu, do you see these new options:

Hi Aleonymous,

The version seems to be 2.7.01, and this is what I see when pressing the escape key:

OK, both of these (i.e. the version and your screenshot) mean that the GoG version of the game does not support controllers, yet. You better email support@stoicstudio.com directly for the answer to the "When?" question...

Received the following response from GOG support after querying whether the game has controller support:

Hello,

I'm sorry for late reply.

I'm not able to anwser why Steam store page for this game is claiming that the game have full controller support, for this you will have to ask developers directly. Our version of the game is the version that was provided to GOG by the developers of Banner Saga. I've checked it with controller, and it doesn't have native controller support.

However you can try to emulate keyboard and mouse movement using one of those simple tools:

Hello again, Zen. I contacted Stoic and they confirmed that the GoG version of TBS1 is outdated (no controller support), compared to the Steam one. They plan to update the GoG version soon, with efforts to complete it this week. Valve-time applying, you should probably take "this week" as "in a couple of weeks" ;)
