They told us there would be another article coming soon and did Indie Statik deliver! There are more than a few sections I'd love to post snippets of but instead just check out this quote before jumping into the full article...

There is so much original depth here. The Banner Saga seems primed to attract a hardcore demographic.

Now go read the whole thing: Carrying The Wounds Of Wisdom – The Banner Saga: Factions (http://indiestatik.com/2012/11/27/carrying-the-wounds-of-wisdom-the-banner-saga-factions/)!

Looking at this pic above made me realise how much awesome background detail I've missed!

That made me think: how about make the map load zoomed out completely (as on the pic above) and zoom in just before unit placement part of the combat?

This game its awesome, its like Final Fantasy Tactics for grownups and the detail of the art and animation are great. This article is very accurate to express it.

Final Fantasy Tactics for grownups...I like the sound of that.

I'm hoping for a single-player campaign that features a similar degree of grown-up-FFT-ness. Same ability for people to die, perhaps, with less of a tendency to make all the horrible jerks into supernatural monsters? (I like the monsters we have coming--I just also want humans doing very bad things for very justifiable reasons.)

Fittingly enough, I finally sold my copy of FFT in order to fund the OS upgrade so I could play Banner Saga.
