On having and expanded view of the leaderboard, this is not advisable for some reasons. One is that counters the intent I just explained. Second, this creates more strain on the server and database because this effectively increases the queries related to displaying and updating player ranks and ratings, for all users. Third, this may adversely influence player behavior. It is likely that "queue dodging" could occur, or conversely, player sniping. For the most part, a random but fair matchmaker, finding an opponent you aren't afraid to play, is better.

I hope this answers your questions! Thanks for visiting the website.

RE: the hall of valor. There are a myriad of player preferences, honestly. Some are hardcore competitive, some aren't, some are in the middle. At the moment the leaderboard only shows top 19,and you, to navigate a middle ground. If you're competitive then you can aim for a top spot which everyone can see, and you can track your progress. If you're not competitive then you hardly have anything to worry about because only you will see your rank unless you're in the top 19. If you do make it in the top 20, while preferring less competition, you'd have been good enough for it to worry you less anyway.

Hi there, I was busy while you were asking something on chat. To respond to your question, there's no way for player's to view what the game population is at any given moment. This is intentional. The game has a small playerbase at the moment, and showing the # of players online is likely to have a negative effect rather than a good one. Part of the experience during beta was having less players stay in-game, because they could see there were few online. This led to even less people in the game and longer queue times.

I can tell you however that during the peak hours, the game population tops at around 200 concurrent players, and has a low in the 50-60s during off-hours. The most played team powers are powers 1-6 in quickmatch, and it isbetter to look for power 12 games during the peak hours. Stoic is focusing on developing the single player right now,so there are no present plans to implement away to tell what power is good to play at. For the meantime power 6 is recommended.
