I admit I'm kinda hoping Legend of the Time Star or Spate get funded. The first isn't looking good but it's exactly the kind of game I have a weakness for so here's hoping. Either one would make me pretty happy actually.

Jane Jensen is doing a Reddit AMA today at 3pm EST (in less than an hour). Come ask her anything!

I'm totally going to second this. Kinetic Void looks like it's going to be a very deep game, that has procedural generation but also a ton of features to accompany that. What I really like is the scaling gameplay---you can start off as a trader or whatever and work your way up to a fleet commander once you obtain enough resources. You're not limited to a fighter, either, like in a lot of space sims; you can design your own ships and make them any size, constrained only by your resources.

Just 18 hours left! $8000 away from the $400k stretch goal, which should be met with if we get more backers.

  10. #50
14 more hours left and we've pretty much hit $400k.

If we reach $450k, we get a live orchestra for the main theme and 1000 more lines of dialogue.

14 more hours to pledge. $50 gets two games.

  11. #51
Less than two hours remain! $450k is still possible!

Grim Dawn finished with 537,515$. All stretched goals reached with 191 % funding.
I didn't back Grim Dawn due to fund limitations but I sure want to see the game done right and of course I want the game itself.

Including paypal pledges, Jane is just $10k away from the final stretch goal of $450k! This will add 1000 lines of dialogue and music recorded with a live orchestra

Jane is still taking Paypal donations through the Pinkerton Road website:

    https://pinkertonroad.com/join-csg/

Pledge by May 25 to have access to the same rewards as the kickstarter tiers. After that point pledging will still be open but some of the goodies may not be available!

Legend of the Time Star is down to it's last 3 days.

They have a great story, concept art and gameplay demo. They communicate often and are upfront about what they plan and how things are progressing. I don't understand why they haven't blown past their modest funding goal yet.

Seriously, if you don't back them, please comment on what it is that stopped you, as I'm sure people want to know so it can be changed.

    Space Quest Spiritual-Successor Kickstarter, SpaceVenture

Sci-fi comedy adventure game fans! Attention! Remember the Sierra On-Line Space Quest series? I certainly do... they were comedy sci-fi satire and a hell of a series of adventure games.

The Two Guys from Andromeda SpaceVenture sees the Two Guys reuniting for a spiritual successor to the SQ series, after 20 years apart, working on other projects... their epic reunion means a great new games (on PC/Mac/Linux/iOS/Android) with a new story and IP, and a new hilarious universe, with new awesome protagonists, villains, and cool locations.

The team has brought fans unprecedented access... dudettes & dudes, I got to chat with both of the Two Guys, Mark and Scott, on a twitch tv feed, while another KS backer was playing their games live, Let's Play style. And by the way, Scott is still f***king funny!

To give us all a feeling of the game style, the Guys have created mini-game prototypes, a kind of living concept art that you can actually play and feel (as the guys say) what it's like to be "an idiot in space again!" which (any SQ fan will say) we really do miss, and now that they've hit $300K, prototype 3 is right around the corner.

Best of all... if SpaceVenture is successful, it the Two Guys will be in a really good position with Activision to prove to them that they're the right & only team to continue producing Space Quest games in the future! Activision has the SQ IP is in their hands, and is watching this closely (and yes, has given permission to use the Two Guys characters, and other incidentals like buckazoids, etc). So, if we want to play this awesome SpaceVenture they're going to build for us, and we want more Space Quest games in the future, then all we have to do is back this Kickstarter and bring that flavor of sci-fi parody back to life.

I personally, am just as excited with the new game idea as I am with bringing Roger Wilco back into space.

Here's a taste of Mark Crowe's design and art direction, also the scene of the latest prototype (sorry about the size!! there wasn't a smaller version of this graphic available for me to link to).

I'm pulling for Two guys From Andromeda as well, but the one I really want to see made is Hiro Fodder. It's an old-style RPG where you play as the monsters instead of human heroes, which is a concept I really would like to see realized. Any game where the main character is a blob of blue slime and your enemies are human soldiers gets my vote, and for $100 they're offering a number of cool rewards and a copy of every game the main designer ever makes. They really do mean every game too cause I asked for clarification and that's what they said. And there are a number of nice less pricey awards as well. But they're only half pledged with 6 days to go, so they could use all the help they can get.

    Huh, good projects?

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...ones?ref=users - RPG with randomly generated world, as i see it something more advanced than teraria.

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...mand?ref=users - NOT A GAME. But a sci-fi TV-series from STAR TREK writer.

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...g-in?ref=users - NOT A GAME. But a good music%)
