    A heart-felt thank you

The three of us at Stoic want to give a heart-felt thank you to all the fans who have supported us by playing The Banner Saga. We've gotten so many messages about personal experiences with the game that we've been quite honestly blown away. We didn't set out to make a game for everybody, but the people who like it have been incredibly, overwhelmingly supportive, far beyond what we had expected.

Aside from the relief that comes with knowing that we'll be able to keep working at Stoic for a long time to come, what has been really rewarding is the individuals who write to us saying things like "No game has ever been more worthy of the title 'Saga'. A saga is something epic, something that will linger in the minds and memories of people for years to come. For that is what The Banner Saga is, a little slice of perfection that nobody else can spoil." I can't tell you how validating and important that has been to us. To each of you who have supported us to make this journey become a reality: thank you.

The feedback we've gotten from players and reviewers have really been taken to heart. We've already put out the first patch fixing issues reported by players about bugs and balance and after a short hiatus we'll be coming back to work on the next game in the trilogy. If there's one complaint we've heard over and over, it's that the story isn't done.

In short, we couldn't ask for more, thanks to you.

    -Alex, John and Arnie

As others have already said, the thanks goes to you guys. I guess that means it's also safe to say the game has been selling decently?

You set your mind to the task and you believed in what you did. Lo and behold; you created your own saga!

I have been working in film/games for about three years now and this game is a perfect example of why I got into this field. Your game is inspiring. The gorgeous art, fantastic game play, compelling story and attention to your community is impressive. Thank you for the experience and I am eagerly awaiting the sequel!

I definitely agree with everyone below. I finished this game recently and all I want to do is go back and play it again.

But you actually made me cry a couple times and I think this game definitely captures the hopeless struggle to keep the people under your command alive when the world is ending - and choices that aren't always easy. I actually like how easy it is to get people killed by accident because I refused to reload while I was playing and that made me think much harder about everything I picked. So whatever fixes for minor flaws or tweaks in game mechanics we might see in the future, I really couldn't be happier and you guys should be proud. Honestly I really just want to stare at this game forever, preferably with the soundtrack on repeat.

Can't wait to see the next one!

    Hello Stoic

First of all, thanks for making an amazing game! It was a great ride from the very beginning of the kickstarter to the final release of the game. I particularly want to thank you for your always kind communication and offer to help as soon as any problems with the game arose. It was a great experience to actually be in direct contact and be able to make suggestions early on in the development. I do remember fighting Arnie once in Factions which was a great experience too (I lost...he knew all the units!). Speaking of Factions, the multiplayer is fantastic as well and has nurtured a lovely community which is worth a lot.

So yeah, I am absolutely looking forward to your second installment!

    Thanks for the game.

    - Argail
